USMC Intelligence Department Patch — Embroidered Patch

Hostis Tempestus Terra — USMC Intelligence Department

Before the first round is fired, before the first boot hits the ground, Marine intelligence has already mapped the battlefield. This patch represents the Marines who gather, analyze, and deliver the information that turns uncertainty into decisive action — the intelligence professionals who see the enemy before the enemy sees us.

The USMC Intelligence Department encompasses the intelligence professionals serving across the Marine Corps, from battalion-level intelligence sections to division G-2 staffs to the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity. Marine intel Marines (MOS 02XX) are trained in signals intelligence, human intelligence, counterintelligence, imagery analysis, and all-source intelligence fusion. They produce the intelligence products that drive operational planning, targeting, and force protection. The department's motto, "Hostis Tempestus Terra," reflects the intelligence community's role in understanding the enemy, the environment, and the terrain. From the jungles of Vietnam to the cities of Iraq to the islands of the Pacific, Marine intelligence has provided commanders with the knowledge they need to outthink and outfight the enemy.

Perfect For: Marine intelligence professionals (02XX MOS), G-2 staff, counterintelligence Marines, imagery analysts, and anyone who serves in the shadows to illuminate the battlefield.

Hostis Tempestus Terra — know the enemy, own the fight.
